Centrally located Cheap Street complete with a Leat (stream) running along its length, has a wonderful mix of shops, cafes and services and the cobbled hike up Catherine Hill is well worth the trip due to its now famous range of trendy boutiques and craft shops.
The Black Swan Arts is a popular arts centre open 7 days a week, which contains galleries, shops, cafe, and the Roundtower where artist-led workshops and community events take place. The town also has two theatres and a multi-purpose venue and annually hosts a nationally recognised 10 day Arts Festival in June.
Kilver Court Retail park in Shepton Mallet (15mins drive) and Clarks Village in Street (40mins drive) offer a range of Factory Outlet Shopping options within driving distance of the Lighthouse.
