Develop Your Natural Voice
A course for GPs, Practise Staff and Health Care Workers
(Sponsored by the Sound Foundation charity)
This course aims to promote self-care and self-awareness for medical practitioners and health care workers through the medium of voice, expression and communication. The welfare of doctors, nurses etc is paramount for the provision of safe and supportive health care.
Clear communication, confident self expression and a cohesive working environment are vital in the medical practise. This interactive course is designed to promote skills in communication, develop active listening awareness and expression, and self-care awareness:
- Deliver information that can be clearly heard, understood and followed through
- Enhance practitioner/patient relationships and improve the patient's experience of health care
- Develop self-care tools to alleviate personal stress and anxiety at work
- Improve relationships with colleagues through self-appraisal skills and reflective interpersonal skills
